Catholic Social Teaching
Catholic Social Teaching is intertwined throughout every aspect of life at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus and the Gospel values, Catholic Social Teaching shapes the way we learn, pray, serve and care for one another each day. Through the principles of human dignity, solidarity, stewardship, participation and the common good, children are encouraged to understand their responsibility to others and to recognise that everybody is made in the image and likeness of God. These values are woven through our curriculum, collective worship, charity work, pupil leadership opportunities and daily interactions, helping our children to become compassionate, respectful and active members of both the school community and the wider world.
