Year 1 Photographs


Well done Year One for a brilliant class assembly!!

The children did brilliant on their sponsored run for our lent fundraising. So far we have already raised over £300! Well done Year One!!

During our PE topic Gymnastics, we really enjoyed practising different skills such as balancing and jumping!

As part of our Science topic 'Materials' we enjoyed testing different materials to see if they are waterproof.

The children had a lovely World Book Day and all looked fantastic in their costumes!!


We had a lovely morning when Adam from Leeds Rhinos brought in the Leeds Rhino's Trophies for us to see!


In DT we really enjoyed working in groups to make our own playground models!


We had a lovely visit from Mr Collins, he brought his old toys in to show us. It was very interesting to find out what kind of toys he played with when he was a young boy. We asked him lots of questions!


We had a lovely afternoon when we brought our toys into school to begin our History topic 'Toys'.


We had a very exciting day when Santa came to visit our school!!!!!



Year One's Golden Day!!



We enjoyed our P.E. sessions with Miss Bentley last term.


We really enjoyed cutting up different fruits and making our own fruit salads! They were yummy!!


We had a brilliant day visiting Cannon Hall Farm!!


We enjoyed feeding the animals....


We enjoyed watching the ferret racing....


We enjoyed stroking the animals....


...and we enjoyed lots more....


After exploring the farm we had lots of fun on the adventure playground!


This week we were very lucky to have a visit from LJ and her dog Winnie from Leeds Dogs Trust! We found out lots of interesting facts about dogs and now know how to stay super safe around dogs that we meet in the streets. We also know how to be responsible dog owners. We had lots of fun and loved stroking Winnie!!



We are working hard to develop our motor skills with expert training from the Leeds Rhinos Foundation. We are really enjoying our weekly sessions!
